Alan started his bartending career as soon as he turned 21.
Since he began, has worked his way up through various restaurants in the Bay Area. In 2011 he opened Driggsy’s Seafood Sports Bar and Grill in San Jose where he developed and maintained the bar program for two years. Most recently, he joined Naschmarkt Restaurant in 2013.
At Naschmarkt, he created the craft cocktail program that elevated the restaurant to be named one of the best restaurants south of San Francisco by the 2015 Zagat. In 2016 Alan took his skills across the world and spent time bartending in Australia. There he learned many new techniques and skills. In 2017 he returned to California and continued to perfect the bar program at Naschmarkt Restaurant. Then in 2020 with the surprising shut down of restaurants and bars he decided to create DRINYX. He is currently the beverage director at Flowers Restaurant and Hero Ranch Kitchen in Saratoga, California. Alan has an affinity for crafting cocktails and pleasing his guests. He has a strong following within the restaurant community as well as through various social outlets. He aspires to open his own restaurant and bar where he can feature an assortment of different cocktails that can genuinely capture the essence of his style.
